Funding African development one mega project at a time.

ABOUT
Enigma Development Fund is a newly established development finance institution, founded in December 2022 with a vision to be the preeminent development finance institution in Africa by focusing on making all the varying and necessary investments in all the important infrastructure, systems, institutions, businesses and people to grow African economies.

The fund offers concessional loans to African governments and businesses to achieve its objectives. Its target market is African governments and businesses that are looking to build public - benefit infrastructure in their respective countries. The fund aims to create sustainable economic growth and eradicate poverty in Africa by promoting industrialization and improving the living standards of African people. It is time.

ENERGY FINANCE

Africa needs $140 billion to be invested annually to achieve universal coverage by 2040. There is a current annual funding shortage of $78 billion on average. At Enigma, we recognize the transformative power of energy and are dedicated to financing projects that revolutionize Africa's energy landscape. From supporting renewable energy initiatives, such as solar panels for farming, mega gas power plants, to investing in innovative technologies and sustainable power solutions, we strive to unlock Africa's energy potential. Join us as we light up the path towards a brighter and more prosperous future for Africa, one energized project at a time.

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

Enigma Fund’s commitment to mega infrastructure investment, rapid industrialisation drive, corporate social responsibility, and poverty eradication distinguishes it from its competitors. The bigger the project, the better. Africa also needs infrastructure investment to the tune of $170 billion a year with a financing gap in the range of $68 to $108 billion. We plan to plug this gap every year as long as a constant flow of finance - ready projects exists. We fund projects from €1 billion to as far as your imagination can take you. The more unique, unrealistic and unprecedented, the better. This is how we build Africa.

AGRICULTURE

To fully unlock Africa's agricultural prowess, there is an urgent need to address the existing infrastructure challenges. Roads, cold storage facilities, agroprocessing, farming technologies, and efficient energy solutions are the lifeblood of a thriving agricultural industry. Yet, many regions in Africa still face significant gaps in these essential infrastructural elements. That's where we come in. Our fund is dedicated to financing projects that strategically target and close these gaps, ensuring that the African agricultural landscape reaches its full potential. By investing in agricultural infrastructure, we pave the way for increased productivity, improved market access, enhanced value chains, and sustainable development. Join us on this transformative journey and be a part of shaping Africa's agricultural future.

Martin is the people - person extraordinaire. You haven’t lived until you’ve heard his lectures about being a good husband, his basketball career, and growing up in the (very) dusty streets of Witsieshoek. He always has one more person for us to meet.

Isaac Moroeng

Isaac is our CEO and founder. He is an amateur philosopher, plays football without any distinction at all and dreams only in images of power stations and Enigma - funded infrastructure. Isaac has an opportunity for every problem, and he knows many problems.
